We are living at Sunshine Orchards vocational training center. This is being run by Paul and Lena Adams. Lena has asked Lisa to help her get the medical missionary training set up and running. Travis is overseeing some of their construction work. He is also spearheading a medical missionary aviation program of his own to help forward God’s work. He has received the OK from the top Thailand Aviation official, so is looking forward to getting that off the ground!

 

When the SDA pastors along the border found out that I had resigned as director of the Mission school I had numerous offers to help them with their schools. Pastor Shem took me to see a school near his house. They were having church when we arrived so they asked me to speak even though their pastor was there (he has several churches). I believe we can share Jesus any time, so I preached a simple practical sermon on Sunday about the life of Jesus.

 

As we left, all the pastors with me wanted me to support that school. I can not because the principal and teachers have made it plain they don’t want to change.  As we left I was feeling bad because I had to tell them no.

 

Pastor Shem took me to see another school again today. This one is about 25 Kilometers from our home. We had to walk for about 1 hour to get to the river, and from there take a long boat ride before hiking up a mountain for maybe 30 minutes.  As I saw the school compound and the children, God was reminding me how many times He has given me another chance to learn and obey. I felt impressed to help them. After preaching a sermon about Jesus, our elder brother, and that we need the hold on God that Jesus had, we had lunch. I then asked them to tell me their needs and I will share them with you. This is a SDA school with SDA teachers. I will assist in the oversight of the school.

I finished by sharing with them that God has a high standard for those that are using His funds. They promised that they would step up in the strength of God and operate a school that will produce young men and women that will stand in the last days. I feel like I need to help them as I can.

 

 

Now I would like to share with you about my personal vision to forward God’s work in this area. I believe there is one thing that is lacking and that is that the people have no idea what living a Christian life is all about. I have seen a principal still wearing devil strings. This culture is so steeped in deception and idolatry that the people can not conceive that it isn’t right. Everywhere there is bribery and racism. They are a stubborn and proud people. This may sound somewhat familiar because it is the same problem that we have before Jesus comes into our lives and we are converted. These people need a living example living among them. It needs to address the whole spectrum. The home, family, school, church and recreation have to all be in line with the Word of God and the life of Jesus. I believe that God will make this possible. There is nothing to big for God.

 

I have found that by surrounding our young people with the best things they grow up to desire only the best. Even when all that is around them is tending toward evil they will stand true to principle. This is what I want to do in a school setting. With the dorms functioning more as a family than as an institution we can address more fully the heart issues. The people will come to where there is a quality program operating. When Jesus is presented in the way we live our lives as well as what we teach and preach, people are really changed.

 

I am currently looking for a location and planning the dorms, school, church and toilets. The structure theme and rules are complete. We will continue to compare them to the Bible and revise them as needed. I believe that God will open the way as we move forward. Thank you so much for your prayers.
