Jason and Lena report that MemeWah is out of the ICU now, and is semi-conscious. She can hear and responds to pain, which is really good news.  The final diagnosis was scrub typhus, which is caused by mites that live in the grass. Sounds like Lena is going on the warpath about tall grass at the school! 98% of scrub typhus patients develop blind spots, and a lot of them go deaf, which is why we are so happy that she can hear! (this is according to my medical books)  So, keep praying for her, and I will let you know what happens.
