This has been a really sad week for us. We poured our hearts into trying to save the situation at the school. At this point, there is nothing more that we can do for them.
The good news is that there are a lot of people who are asking us questions, and wanting to know what makes us so different. We have been able to share the bible with them, and show them a better way. Even Memewah gave a bible study, like an hour long bible study, to a man who was here working! I was really proud of my little girl.
The bible says that if they reject you in one place, that you are to shake the dust off of your feet and go to those who don’t know yet. So, unless God shows us differently, that is our plan at this time. Of course, we have to wait for God’s direction as to where he wants us to go next. For now, we can stay here in the village. We will help all those who need our help as long as we are here.
Some of the blessings from being here are that we met a lot of good people, and we feel like we have some real friends here. The parent representative that was so terribly angry with us to begin with is now our friend and has been coming here for bible studies. We have been able to show the contrast between good and evil in a practical way. We were able to appeal to the school to follow God. It does not look like it had any impact, but at least we planted some seeds. Oh how we long to see those seeds grow. We love these people and we hope that someday they will be in heaven.
