A Sad Farewell and Other News

Forgive me for adding so much at one time, but I am at a guest house today with lots of free internet time!

The time has come to let Elani go to her next job, but we are going to miss her terribly. My students were so sad to see her leave. They all really wanted her to just spend her year at our little school. I tried to explain to them that others need her maybe more than we do, but I ended up promising them that if she did not like the new school she is going to, that she could come home and stay with us again! So, we have diligent prayers being offered up for her misery at the new school!

To tell you the truth, Roy and I felt the same way. We really felt like we need Elani and all the help she has given us, but how can we justify keeping her when we only have 10 in our family, and the Sunshine Orchard has over 200? So, we are reluctantly letting her go. I am personally delivering her to her new post so that if she is instantly miserable, I can bring her right back home!

I also wanted to alert you to the fact that I am adding two new pages to my web site today! One of them is an explanation of what we are trying to accomplish here, and the other is a list of projects that we are needing to do. So, feel free to look them over, and tell me what you think! (I like input…it makes me feel like I have partners out there in cyberspace)
