A Few Pictures

When I was writing the last blog, I had such terrible internet that I could not add the pictures that I wanted to. So, here they are. Just pretend that they are inserted into the post!

Travis at the river crossing. This is not exactly handicap accessible.
A small boat passed our big boat, and I thought that it was cute. You can see Lao in the background.
While we were crossing the river, we saw these semis loading onto the ferry. It isn't something that I see everyday.

A sample of the Lao countryside, taken from the bus.

Another view of the countryside. Sorry about the power lines, but I thought that you might enjoy knowing that, yes, they do have electricity!

Travis and I crossed the border back into Thailand with no trouble. We are free to say another 4 months! We got to the bus station almost 5 hours early, and Travis had to leave. So, a really nice owner of a cafe told me that I could sit here and wait for my bus to leave tonight. They actually have cushy chairs, which are rare in Thailand. He gave me the password so that I could use their high speed internet even! Of course, I have to try to studiously ignore the cheesecake in the display, but so far so good since my tummy hasn’t been happy on this trip. So I am feeling hugely blessed and contented. God is good.
