I can just imagine that many, many years ago\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6maybe as long ago as Adam and Eve, mothers have discovered the same perplexing problem that I have.<\/p>\n

It starts out this way. (That is if you live in primitive conditions like we do) \u00c2\u00a0You have a little newborn baby, so you make it a cute little bed on the floor beside your bed, which is also on the floor if you live in the jungle. This works really well for at least 3 months.<\/p>\n

But, at 3 months you find a new phenomena happening. The baby no longer stays just exactly where you placed her, in fact, her little feet start to creep onto your bed in the middle of the night, and you find yourself making room so as not to squish them. By around 4 months of age, the baby discovers that she can wake you up more effectively by kicking those cute little feet on your tummy.<\/p>\n

By 6 months, plus a little maybe, the baby suddenly discovers a new pastime. She learns to crawl, and instead of bedtime being the boring time she had always known, she finds a new way to entertain herself. Instead of waking up, making a few cute sounds, and then getting a binky stuck in her mouth, she wakes up, looks around and spies Mom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s feet sticking out from under the blanket. She then wonders just exactly what toes taste like, and so makes her way down to that end of the bed to try sucking on those tantalizing toes. When Mom unceremoniously puts her feet back under the protective blanket, she looks around for new objects to taste. Ahhhh\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.she spots Mom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s chin! (chins are wonderful since she can also get two handfuls of hair to help stabilize herself while she tries valiantly to chew off a nice chunk)<\/p>\n

After a few nights of this fascinating new routine, most Mom\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s I assume would do as I have done and get a bit creative. In our case, a packing box was just the trick that it took to solve the problem, but not for long. Destiny already fills her box, and pretty soon I am once more going to be praying, pleading, and begging for a crib!<\/p>\n
